A brief account.
I am an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT) at Sohar University, Oman. My research investigates Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI, with practical implementations in image analysis, autonomous driving, smart cities, and healthcare.
I earned my Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Computer Science from King Abdulaziz University (QS Top 106), where I collaborated with top researchers and received the Best Student Award. I have also gained significant industry experience as a Tech Lead and Data Science Program Manager, bridging the gap between academia and real-world applications.
With over 1,450 citations across 18 publications and involvement in 7 internationally-funded projects, I am actively co-supervising a Ph.D. student at the University of Newcastle and have successfully guided multiple M.Sc. graduates from Liverpool John Moores University.
